About Me
Hi, I'm Hanna Awad.
Born in Florida to Egyptian immigrants and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey, my journey has been a blend of diverse cultures and experiences. Growing up, I often served as a translator for my parents, which helped me become fluent in Arabic.
From a very young age, movies and TV shows brought immense joy to my life. The emotions they evoked—whether laughter, tears, or anger—gave me a sense of purpose. I realized early on that I was destined to act and create. I wanted to be the person who could make others laugh, cry, or even get angry, all while enjoying my performance. This calling led me to pursue a career in film, acting, and content creation.
My passion for photography began when I was a child. Tasked with taking a photo for someone, the compliments I received left a lasting impression. In middle school and high school, I fell in love with capturing moments, whether through pictures or videos. My friends often teased me for always taking pictures and videos, but now they appreciate the memories we can look back on together. These moments are what it's all about—after living them, all that remains are the memories.
In high school, my father bought me a Canon Rebel T6 camera for photography and videography. I captured countless moments with it and received many compliments, reinforcing that it's not about the camera but the person behind it. This passion led me to pursue a career in photography and videography, showcasing my talent to the world. Today, as I continue to build my professionalism, I’ve advanced to using a Sony a7R V for photos and a Sony a7S III for videos, allowing me to elevate the quality of my work and bring my creative vision to life with even greater precision.
I recently graduated from Montclair State University with a double major in Film & TV and Theatre Studies/Acting. My goal is to create films, working both in front of and behind the camera. Alongside my photography and videography business, I have honed my skills in video and content editing, making me a well-rounded creator.
I am incredibly grateful to God and my loving parents, Mama and Baba, for their unwavering support and guidance. They have always encouraged me to be the best I can be. Looking ahead, I aim to expand my network and collaborate with others who share my mindset, drive, and passion. I believe that together, we can create amazing work and achieve great things.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. Let's create something memorable together.
